Portable Camping Hot Tub Instructions:
- A hexagon made of six plywood panels reinforced by 2x4s, Held together with 6 metal rods. Insulated with Foam Panels. (Setup ~45 mins)
- 30" Deep. Seats 6 comfortably. More if you want to squeeze.
- Cover the sides in pool noodles, then Place a black pond liner in it, and then use Pump A(High Flow) to pump water in from a lake / river.
- Once 2/3 full, use Pump B(Low Flow) to circulate water through a copper coil, and back to the fire (within 20 feet).
- Pumps are powered by Large batteries (similar in size/weight to a car battery, but very different).
- The bigger the fire, the faster it heats, but hope for ~12 - 16 hours.
- 2x2" posts are used to keep the heat in.
- The floor is flat, so you sit cross legged.
- We can get it pretty hot. Around 110 degrees. Dylan has a Thermometer.
- As it takes a ton of time to heat up with the campfire, Dylan says it is only worth it for long weekends.
- Also, he sometimes ends up having to do all the work himself. So the more committed to help the better.
- Drain it with a siphon.
- 3000 liters at 32 inches Deep
- 1500 liters at 24 inches Deep
Rules:
- - Keep the Water CLEAN (rinse your feet!)
- - No smoking (Pond liner expensive!)
- - Don't splash. (Batteries expensive!)
- - When you are getting out, ask others if they want another drink ;)
Dylans DNA Rant:
-
We need to evolve to survive.
We can't make perfect copies of ourselves, or some other species will out evolve us.
That's what cancer is.
Our own cells evolving to compete with the rest of our cells.
We can't cure cancer without curing evolution.
We can't cure death without slowing evolution.
It is not an evolutionary advantage to live a long life, even if you are continuously pumping out kids.
You are just pumping out obsolete old DNA instead of giving the next generation space to evolve.
Trillions of evolutionary trial and error experiments are going on in parallel in all of the species on earth.
Those innovations are trapped within the species.
If that species goes extinct, the innovation goes extinct with it.
Viruses can spread these innovations from one species to the next. Viruses greatly speed up evolution.
