My Thoughts

    Warning: Red Flag
  • MLM= Multi Level Marketing. AKA "Pyramid Scheme"
  • The company is just using you for your contact list (friends).
  • Their product doesn't sell in stores, and it sells only when pushed by peoples' friends.
  • Can you imagine if I spammed my friends everyday to see if they wanted to buy beer?
  • Eventually, your friends' will unsubscribe from your newsfeeds after spammy posts everyday.
  • If their claims were true, everyone would do it. Period.

Red Flags

  • When you can't type their Web Address into Facebook! NO OTHER (non-porn) sites are blacklisted
  • When the company is called "It Works"--like it immediately has to defend its claims.
  • When you do 100% of the work to sell the product, and get 10-20% of the profit.
  • When the exact same products can be bought online for 10-20% of the cost
  • There are no other(very few) businesses that operate like this.

  • It Works
  • Primerica
  • ACN
  • Essential oils
  • Isagenix
  • Beach body
  • Arbonne

Compilation of 30 Friends' Experience with various MLMs.

  • 100% (eventually) regretted it--typically after 6-12 months.
  • They have made little money, gave away the access product at a large loss, and quit.
  • Not ONE did the math of their profits, expenses, and amount of time spent--Much like a gambler, you only hear good news.
  • Not ONE made over $6 hour AVERAGED--Prove me wrong: send me the numbers (above).
  • Never admitting being tricked, until a few years later
  • Eventual (Paraphrased) Consensus:
    • "Yea, that was dumb, my friend XXXXX got me into it. Sorry for the spam."

When I Grow Up

Disclaimer:

  • People get so uppity, like you are attacking their religious Beliefs.
  • If your MLM of choice is go great, you should be able to stand up to criticism + defend it without getting angry
  • If you like their products, perfectly fine. Buy them. But leave your friends out of it.
  • Everyone THINKS they will be the exception.
  • Sometimes you just have to let people make their own mistakes.
  • Do whatever the hell you want--just have the balls to admit you were wrong 3 years from now, or give me a ride in your Ferrari.

Bright Side:

  • There is NOTHING wrong with wanting to be your own boss--just don't make someone else millions with your effort
  • Start your OWN business selling your OWN products
  • Working from Home is Awesome-- just do it the right way.
  • Get out of any+all MLMs sooner, rather than later
