Alaskan Cruise Planning:

Lets all get together to have some fun on the high-seas! Please take a look, and voice your opinion, availability, interests, etc. in simple, list-form, communication.

We are excited about cruising as a family, for many reasons. Selecting a common date is a challenge.

• In my opinion, our best option now is Celebrity cruise departing Vancouver on Sunday, Aug 3 to Aug 10, 2014.

• Once we have agreed, we can look at more details, such as cabins, deposits, and cancellation dates, and when full payment is due.
• Please also send the EXACT names on Passport, Birth Date, current passport number & expiry date.

Mom:

• Balconies seem to be expensive
• Wants to Book by December 13th

Adam:

• Heard Princess Cruise Lines is not for 20/30-somethings
• Heard the "Train Canadian border", sucks

Points:

• All of the major cruise lines have docking space in all of the common ports in Alaska, and DON'T use tenders.
• The docking areas are all a very short walk into town
• Glacier Bay is best place to see glaciers; Park rangers come on-board to discuss geology, history & wildlife spotting
• Glaciers to see: Tracey Arm, Glacier Bay & Hubbard Glacier
• Only Towns to visit: Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan & Icy Strait. Icy Strait is the most "natural" and newest of the ports. Other three have more infrastructure/tours, but are so more "touristy"
• Withers': Brad & Amanda's Wedding is August 23rd
