Beers and Brewing.

Beer 101. Adventures in Brewing. List of Favorite BeersUpdated 6 years ago

Brew Room:

I have always wanted to insulate my under-deck area to brew beer, wine and distilling whiskey.

The area is 12 x 10 feet, waterproof, but currently not heated or insulated. The roof is corogated plastic at 6'6".

  • My goal is to have a nice, clean room with:
    • ~10 carboys,
    • A few oak barrels,
    • 3 Primary Fermenters,
    • My beer kegs,
    • The still,
    • Bottles,
    • Wash basin,
    • Light,
    • Heater,
    • Ball Cocks,
    • Syphon hose,
    • Cleaners,
    • etc.
  • My Plan:
    • Move all tools to the back wall, and cover in vapour barrier.
    • Glue 12 large 2 inch Dense styrofoam panels with Spray on Glue from Dylan
    • Vapour Barrier the walls.
  • Questions:
    • What can I use as walls to give a finished, clean look? Something nicer than vapour barrier, yet not drivewall.
    • What other features would be nice?
