Alzheimer's
My Experience with my Dad's Alzheimer's, and my Living Will/Wishes
Watching my Dad's slow (then rapid) decline, I found the hardest thing is to find something to talk about.
In the event I get Alzheimer's Disease / Dementia, I have written these notes for my family & friends.

Interesting:
- Adults+45 who sleep less than six hours a night are 200% more likely to have a heart attack or stroke in their lifetime.
- Margaret Thatcher & Ronald Reagan, both of whom were quite vocal about how little sleep they needed, both went on to develop the Alzheimer's.
- An adult sleeping only 6.75 hours a night, would be predicted to live only to their early 60s without medical intervention.

Summary of Dad's Alzheimer Diagnosis:
-
My Dad was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's Dec. 2012.
He fought the illness with grace and calm.
We spent tons of time together, as a family, and on father-son trips on Seattle, and Palm Springs.
He played baseball with his kids as long as possible.
He was hospitalized and placed In Advanced Dementia Unit Sep. 2014.
He Died July 2017
We all live our lives with a chosen balance between living for today, and living for tommorow.
I am focused on living for today, and my tommorows may end soon enough.

Reminders:
Remember to remove me from title of any assets(Mortgage, Cars, Investments, Life Insurance etc.)
Write me signs about the things I worry about. I have begun to train myself to trust them.As I get farther and farther removed/progressed, please do not worry about visiting me as often. But try to make an effort on holidays, if only twice a year. If not for me, then to remind you to appreciate your brains, good health, and family.
