Upstairs Suite Hydro Bill Calculator

A Detailed Breakdown of 15 years of my houses Electrical Hudro Bills.Updated 2 years ago
The house is digitally metered with One Meter on the Upstairs Panel, and One Meter on the Upstairs (Private) Hot water tank.
Meters are checked on an irregular basis. As noted in "Days Usage".
Upstairs Tenants are responsible for their portion of the usage.
Charges + Rates are identical to BC Hydro's.
The current Electrical Rate is:
  • 8.84 ¢ / KWhr for the first 1376KWhrs.
  • 13.26 ¢ / KWhr for the remainder.
  • 19.56 ¢ / day Daily Rate
Our typical bill is 70-80% at the higher rate. (See Sample Below)
Therefore the electrical rate is split 75%(3/4s) between the two
@ 13.26¢/KWhr
(8.84 x 0.25+ 13.26 x 0.75)(12.16¢/KWhr)
